Abstract
This dataset contains interviews in Finnish with students and staff at the University of Tampere and Tampere University of Applied Sciences who had participated in curriculum development work.
The interviewees were asked to describe progress made in curriculum development and discussions concerning the curriculum. They were asked what types of obstacles, challenges and, on the other hand, successes the curriculum and curriculum development had faced. Other interview themes included evaluation of learning as well as giving and receiving feedback. The interviewees were asked to indicate how the curriculum should be improved in the future. Finally, the interviewees discussed the curriculum culture in their faculty as well as the significance of the curriculum in regard to the development of the field, students' worklife competences, and teaching work in practice.
Background information included the interviewee's gender, occupation, field and institution. The data were organised into an easy to use HTML version at FSD.
The dataset is only available in Finnish.

The researchers sent faculties invitations to participate, and each faculty was asked to include one student and one staff member for the study who have been involved in curriculum development work.

Completeness of Data and Restrictions
The researcher removed direct and strong indirect identifiers from the data to prevent identifying interviewees (e.g. name, job title). At FSD, the following information was either removed from the data or categorised: names, information concerning work history, work tasks and students' positions of trust, information concerning student exchanges in another country, and year of starting studies. In fields of study with few students, interviewees' genders have been purposively removed. These further anonymisations done at FSD were marked with [[[triple square brackets]]].
The archived data do not include those staff members' interviews for which archiving permissions were not received.
Citation Requirement
The data and its creators shall be cited in all publications and presentations for which the data have been used. The bibliographic citation may be in the form suggested by the archive or in the form required by the publication.
