Abstract

The objective of the teacher survey was to chart the experiences that polytechnic and university teachers in Finland had about using e-books as a part of their teaching.

The survey began with general questions about choosing the books that the respondents use for teaching, and whether they had used e-books in their teaching. The next part of the survey charted the respondents' experiences about reading e-books, where they had acquired them and what kind of devices they had used for reading them. Finally, the respondents were asked to evaluate e-books as a part of their teaching. They were presented with statements such as: "Using e-books in teaching sessios is easy" and "The books related to my field of teaching are often available as e-books".

The background variables were mother tongue, institution and field of study.
