Sisällön kuvaus

The survey studied housing preferences and centrifugal mobility in the urban area of Turku, Finland. It focused on the residential choices of households who had moved from the central town areas of Turku, Kaarina and Raisio to fringe municipalities during the years 2010 - 2012.

Survey questions charted the type and characteristics of the former and present housing, preferences for housing and neighbourhood in general, reasons for moving, determining factors behind the housing choice made, and satisfaction with the housing at the time of the survey. The respondents were also asked what would be their ideal situation in terms of housing and neighbourhood.

Background variables included the respondent's gender, year of birth, education, number of persons in the household, number and age of underage children, number of cars in the household, municipality of residence, previous municipality of residence, household income, and municipality where R worked or studied.
