Abstract

The aim of this survey was to chart the treatment of gambling addicts in Finnish municipalities. This form delivered to service points charted how gambling problems and addictions were diagnosed. Views were probed on the frequency of gambling addicts turning up at the service point, manifestations of gambling problems in them, and the services offered to relatives of gambling addicts. The respondents were also asked about services for young (under 18 years old) gambling addicts, acquiring the know-how on the treatment of gambling addicts, and the need to increase that know-how at the service point.

Background variables included respondent's status and activity sector in service point, province, type of service point, and administrator and name of service point.
