Abstract

The interviews charted the use of mobile phones in Finnish families and among children in particular. The archived data consist of family interviews conducted in 2001 and 2002. Topics included the role of mobile communication in families and children's mobile phone use. The dataset comprises 33 interviews.

The dataset is only available in Finnish.

Interviewees were recruited with newspaper advertisements and mailing lists on the Internet, by contacting schools and kindergartens, and using snowball sampling. Interviews were conducted in cities, smaller population centres and rural areas.
