Abstract

An online survey aimed at recently divorced people conducted by a Finnish newspaper. The open-ended questions in the survey charted, among others, the respondents' relationship with the former spouse before marriage and other pre-marriage relationships, reasons for divorce, whose decision it was, post-divorce relations with the former spouse, and expectations of a new relationship.

The dataset is only available in Finnish.

Separate letters from readers and responses given on paper by readers are not included in the data. As the survey was freely available online, there was no possibility of controlling who responded.
