Abstract

The survey canvassed Finnish citizens' attitudes and values. Themes included education, upbringing, internationalisation, and attitudes towards entrepreneurship, privatisation, and structural change. The respondents' views on economic growth, environmental issues, technology, political system, and the exercise of power were also probed.

Background variables included the respondent's sex, age, marital status, size of the place of residence, province of residence, occupational group, basic and vocational training, trade union membership, sector of occupation, participation in various organisations and associations, party for which R will vote in the next parliamentary elections, and social class.
