Abstract

The survey studied attitudes of the Finns towards European Union and integration. The respondents were asked how interested they are in matters related to the Finnish EU membership, how they feel about the Finnish membership, and what should Finland aim at under its EU presidency. In addition, the respondents were asked to assess various statements pertaining to Finland's EU membership, decision-making in the EU, and the EMU. Furthermore, the respondents were asked what aspects should be emphasised in the development of the Northern Dimension.

Background information includes the respondent's sex, age group, size of municipality of residence, province of residence, education, professional group, field of enterprise, membership in trade union organisations, and what party R would vote for if the parliamentary elections were held at the time.
